Branding

Branding controls how your customer-facing Periode pages and emails look. Use it to make booking pages, membership signup, gift card pages, customer account pages, and emails feel like part of your business.

Where branding lives

Organization branding

Manage shared branding under Settings > Branding.

These settings apply across customer-facing pages and emails unless a product has its own product-level content.

Review:

  • Logo.
  • Top bar.
  • Main colours.
  • Background colour or image.
  • Corners.
  • Shadows.
  • Font.
  • Email preview.

Product-level presentation

Some customer-facing content belongs on the product rather than the organization.

Use product-level settings for:

  • Product name.
  • Product description.
  • Product images or background.
  • Price labels.
  • Waiver text.
  • Extra customer questions.
  • Confirmation text.
  • Redirect URL after purchase.
  • Product-specific instructions.

Use organization branding for the shared visual identity. Use product content to explain the exact booking, membership, gift card, or punch pass the customer is buying.

Logo and top bar

Upload a logo that stays readable at small sizes. Test it on mobile, because the top bar has less space there.

Avoid logos with very thin details or low contrast against the top bar colour.

Brand and top bar colours

Use the main brand colour for customer-facing brand elements such as buttons, menus, and product-page highlights.

The top bar or header colour is a separate advanced setting. Use it when you need the header itself to differ from the main brand colour, and choose a colour that gives enough contrast for the logo and navigation icons.

After changing it, preview the customer page and open it on mobile.

Background and colours

Background image

Use a background image when it adds useful atmosphere and still leaves the content readable.

Check:

  • Text contrast.
  • Mobile cropping.
  • Loading quality.
  • Whether important parts of the image are hidden.

Colours

Use brand colours with enough contrast for buttons, links, text, and status messages.

Do not only check the first screen. Open booking, checkout, membership signup, customer account, and emails where possible.

Corners, shadow, and font

Corners and shadow

Corners and shadows control the feel of the customer interface. Use them to match your brand without making the page harder to read.

After changing these settings, check forms, price boxes, buttons, and checkout states.

Font

Choose a font that is readable for product descriptions, booking details, and emails.

Decorative fonts may work for headings but can make practical checkout text harder to read.

Email branding

Customer emails

Customer emails should feel connected to your business. Branding can affect booking confirmations, membership emails, gift card emails, punch pass emails, and receipt-related messages.

Before launch, test the email flow for every product type you use.

Check that the email tells the customer:

  • What they bought.
  • When the booking or membership applies.
  • Where to find the booking or account.
  • How to use a gift card or punch pass.
  • What to do before arrival.
  • Where access information appears.

Receipts

Receipt behaviour depends on product and payment setup. Check receipt settings before launch and confirm the result with a test purchase.

Language and translations

Customer-facing language

Review the language customers see on product pages, booking flows, emails, and customer account pages.

Important text includes:

  • Product names.
  • Booking instructions.
  • Cancellation rules.
  • Waiver text.
  • Membership benefits.
  • Gift card instructions.
  • Punch pass descriptions.
  • Confirmation text.

Translation overrides

Automatic translation can help, but it should not replace review for important customer text.

If an invented product name, brand name, or special phrase is translated incorrectly, add a translation override under Settings > Translations.

Preview and testing

Preview before saving

Use the preview while editing branding so you can see the customer page and email style before saving.

Check both desktop and mobile presentation.

Test complete customer flows

After branding changes, test the actual flows customers use:

  • Open a booking link.
  • Complete a booking.
  • Buy a membership.
  • Buy or redeem a gift card.
  • Buy or redeem a punch pass.
  • Open the customer account page.
  • Read the confirmation emails on mobile and desktop.

Good branding is not only visual. The customer should understand what they bought, how to use it, and what happens next.
